Teachers continuous Training Institute
receives Proprietors and Head-Teachers of
Private Primary and Secondary Schools in
Biase LGA of Cross River State. The Director-
General of Teachers Continuous Training
Institute Prof. Taoheed Adedoja, said that TCTI
would partner with private sectors to retrain
their teachers for better and more effective teaching and learning outcome.
He disclosed this in a meeting held in the TCTI
Academic Board Room with the Proprietors
and Head-Teachers of Private Schools in Biase
as led by the Executive Secretary of Biase
Local Government Education Authority,
Bishop Martin Aquah on the 8 th February, 2022.
Prof, Adedoja said the facility in TCTI are
made to serve both private and public sectors,
pointing out that the TCTI and the
Demonstration Secondary School is not
specifically to retrain government teachers
alone, but to train all qualified teachers across
the globe. Adding that students from private
schools will key in through 'visitorship'
programme to use the TCTI Science
laboratories for effective practical sessions.
Meanwhile the Executive Secretary of Biase
Education Authority, Bishop Martin Aquah
urged proprietors to make use of the facility
created by the then Governor of Cross River State His Excellency Professor Sir
Ben Ayade to teach their students on the use
of science equipment.
After the meeting, the team of visitors were
led on a facility tour around the Institute and
the proprietors and Head-Teachers
expressed satisfaction on the facility tour
and said TCTI is second to none in West
African region as they expressed their joy
and readiness towards participating in the
retraining Programmes as soon as the
programme commences.
