HOST COMMUNITY TRADITIONAL RULERS VISIT TCTI MANAGEMENT

The Director-General of the Teachers Continuous Training Institute Biase, Professor Taoheed Adedoja in an opening remark called on the Traditional Rulers to embrace the Institute as a welcome development to the people of Biase, her environs and Cross River State at large.

He stated this in a meeting held with the Traditonal Rulers of the community and the management of the TCTI at the DG's Conference Room on the 7th December, 2021.

Prof. Adedoja further said that 40% of the Institute's Staff are Biase indigenes and 70% of students admitted to the Demonstration Secondary School are also Biase indigenes, as at the time of this meeting

He therefore called on the Traditional rulers to cooperate with the Staff of the Institute by accommodating them and ensuring high level of security where and when necesssary

However, in his opinion, the Clan Head of Akpet Community, His Royal Highness Atteh-Obort Evong Sunday, commended the Director-General and his Management team for welcoming them, and pledged his commitment to protect the interest of the Institute and her Staff members.

The Atteh-Obort made noteworthy to the Management that his community remains a peace-loving community and a good accommodator to visitors. He further advised the Management to teach her Staff members some personal security measures.

In another development, the Management were assured of getting the survey plan of the Institute as promised by the visitors.

Also speaking, the Registrar of the TCTI Mrs. Rebecca Joseph Odumusor commended the Traditional Rulers for honouring the short invitation notice as she assured the visitors that all is in order for the smooth sail of the Institute to achieve her goal.

The traditional rulers blessed the Institute in a traditional prayer way, praying for total success in her endeavor as they also pleaded that they be carried along as it concerns the activities of the Institute.
